Ridgway Machines has appointed Mike Allen as its new Managing Director, marking the next phase of growth for the long-established UK engineering business.

Founded in 1920 and based in Leicester, Ridgway is a designer and manufacturer of advanced, high-precision automated production systems. The company delivers bespoke manufacturing platforms to global customers across a range of sectors including fusion energy, superconducting power, grid infrastructure and advanced electrical systems. Their high-performance cable, conductor and coil manufacturing systems are world leading.

Mike brings a strong track record of delivering sustainable business growth in engineering and manufacturing environments. He joins from TT Electronics, where he significantly increased turnover and profitability, and has previously held Managing Director roles at Dynamic Aerospace Fabrications and Pattonair, following a 31-year career at Rolls-Royce.

Importantly for customers, Ridgway’s existing leadership team; including Andy Glanville, Andy Clarke, Tony Hart and Stephen Hunt will continue in their roles, providing continuity of expertise, long-standing customer relationships and deep technical knowledge.
