Set up, manage and be responsible for the company's quality control systems.
Identify new ways to improve the overall quality of the systems and products in accordance with our customer’s needs and company objectives.
Facilitate effective team interaction and inspire co-workers to attain goals and pursue excellence.
Provide reports and information as requested by management including a monthly reports on quality performance and activities within the company.
Develop a set of key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide a simple method to view performance and action improvement areas.
Plan and prepare well for all meetings and presentations (internal and external).
Organise and oversee all aspects of the daily quality control activities.
Be capable of providing training as required throughout the company with regard to the quality control systems.
Take ownership of the quality control systems and be responsible for resolving issues or guiding departments in resolving issues.
Carry out quality control audits both internally and externally.
Liaise closely with sales, production and purchasing departments to ensure that the company's quality systems are understood and adhered to.
Liaise with customers to ensure that their requirements are fully understood and that relevant documentation is produced and delivered.
Liaise with suppliers as required to ensure timely delivery of components to specification and required quality.
Visit customers and suppliers both locally and internationally as required.
Fully understand Ridgway’s product range, capabilities, quality standards and services. Maintain up to date knowledge on competitors' products/services, maintaining good awareness of developments in related fields.
Ensure administration procedures and technical records are complied with and fully maintained.
Attend training seminars either in‑house or external.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all other employees of Ridgway Machines Ltd.
Undertake any activities not included in this job description which are deemed reasonable by the company.
Proven track record in quality control and management
Excellent communication skills for liaison with customers, the shop floor and suppliers
An understanding of quality control systems including ISO9000
Commercial awareness
IT literacy
A can do attitude
Ability to work in a team environment
Capable of working on own initiative
Full Driving Licence
International passport as there may be foreign travel
