Draughtsman
Location: Leicester | Salary: Negotiable
Ridgway Machines is the UK and Europe's leading manufacturer of taping machines for the electrical, conductor and oil pipeline industries.
Business is very buoyant as we are allied to the power generation and oil industries which are booming, and subsequently the majority of our products are exported throughout the world.

Mechanical Draughtsman
We are looking for an up and coming mechanical draughtsman (ideally both 2D and 3D) to produce detail drawings for special purpose mechanical machinery. It is likely you will be in the early stages of your career and will be trained further so that you can progress to design engineer within our company.
The job and responsibilities
- Produce detail drawings of special purpose machines
- Multitasking including working on multiple projects
- Parts list / BOM construction
- Specifications writing
The ideal candidate will have the following skills
- Understanding of and competency in using AutoCAD 2D and Solidworks 3D mechanical drawing systems
- Excellent communication skills for liaison with customers, the shop floor and suppliers
- Can do attitude
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Capable of working on own initiative (under guidance)
- Be able to work on multiple projects, deliver on time and meet customer expectations
- Full Driving Licence
- Full international passport
Knowledge of the following would be an advantage
- MRP systems
- IT literate
- Basic drive and mechanism calculations
